Spark's ideal home

Spark is looking for a fun and engaging home with adopters who will take him on adventures and walks, who will play with and train him. He can live with confident children aged 12 and over who are used to a bouncy dog that can be excitable and clumsy, and can give him space to rest when needed. Spark could live with another playful and friendly dog that is happy with a bouncy buddy, he has lived with a cat in the past and could live with a cat again pending a scent swap. He would be happy with fun and playful walking buddies. Spark has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit” and “Down”, he loves to be busy and learn new things, and will concentrate for a smelly treat. He was housetrained in his previous home so will just need a refresher. Access to a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed, Spark can be quite strong on the lead and would benefit from Loose Lead Walking training. Spark may be able to be left alone for up to 1-2 hours, but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a snooze! Spark will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Cuddly and playful Spark is a 1 year old Boxer Cross who loves toys and loves to play, he specifically likes balls and will chase around after them when thrown for him. He loves fusses, he will lean into chin scratches and will paw at you to continue if you stop. Spark likes a treat, the smellier the better, and will take them gently from the hand. This handsome boy with the most wonderful personality is looking for his new home and has so much love to give.
