Simba's ideal home

Simba needs a home without other pets, and where he has no dogs as neighbours. He will also need access to walks with few dogs. Simba would really suit someone who has an interest in dog training. He can be left alone for a few hours after a settling in period and is house trained. Children over the age of 16 will be fine.

Could you be Simba's perfect match?

Simba is a whole lotta dog! He's an incredibly friendly if somewhat boisterous boy who loves to play, and his handlers are very fond of him. He's also a very bright boy which is great as Simba really needs some training. He was returned to us as his owner couldn't handle his strength and behaviour towards other dogs, but he's making great progress with the trainers at the centre. Simba has had some aversive training in the past, which hasn't helped him, but he's on the right path now but needs an owner who is willing to keep this up and invest some real time into this young lad. Simba isn't great with other dogs and in the past has been allowed to run up to them whilst off lead, despite having no social skills. His home will need to be dog free, including neighbouring properties, but he's making brilliant progress already, with his trainers teaching him how to "check in" with them when he sees another dog. Simba has bags of potential and is still only a young lad at not quite two years old. In the right hands, this big doofus will be a fantastic friend who wants to play and spend time with his people. He's very affectionate (we're working on his over enthusiasm!) and eager to please and this bright boy deserves an equally bright future. His adopters will be fully supported by our Training team.

Boxer Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Boxer.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
